Are you one of those who cannot go anywhere in real life without taking your favorite tunes? Well, now you can do the same in the metaverse. World-renowned DJ Steve Aoki has teamed up with Relics to launch the Idol III, a fully digital, metaverse-ready music player that takes the form of an Ethereum NFT.

Idol III is inspired by jukebox culture and intends to appeal to a large audience who crave a unique, progressive, and intimate music experience. Additionally, All members can play the metaverse music NFTs from their wallets. Once playing, holders can broadcast tunes and immerse themselves in virtual worlds.

Furthermore, Idol III features a pre-installed mix from Aoki’s Dim Mak label that has been mixed and mastered by the legend himself. Adding to the list of big names, Idol III is exclusively available to collectors of multiple music NFTs. This includes the NFTs created by superstars such as Kings of Leon, Deadmau5, Linkin Park, and more.

Idol III launched on Wednesday 17th May 2023 on the Decentraland metaverse. It’s in its early phases, but it plans to expand its accessibility shortly. This innovative NFT-powered music play is a blessing to both music fans and artists. As we move into a completely digital era, it’s creations like this that pioneer and pave the way. To non-Web3 natives, this idea may seem alien. However, it cannot be denied that this is the music of the future.
